Specifically, my bill would provide up to $15,000 ($10,000 in federal funds and $5,000 in matching university funds) in annual financial assistance to 1,500 college juniors and 1,500 seniors. Scholarship recipients will be able to use their scholarships toward undergraduate degrees in engineering, mathematics and the life and physical sciences.
Upon graduation from an accredited institution of higher education, those students wishing to continue their education by pursuing graduate degrees will compete for one of the 900 scholarships available to first-year graduate students,
