Though Town Attorney Frank Reynolds told the Town Council last week that its Planning Commission had recommended the revised subdivision ordinance to the council for adoption, the council instead sent it to a subcommittee for further study.
“Some matters require some knowledge about planning,” Mr. Reynolds told the council. “The entire Town Council must hold a public hearing prior to adoption, but you don’t have to pass exactly the same document. And,” he added, “it does not have to be sent back to the Planning Commission unless there are major changes which basically make it unrecognizable” to the document referred by the planners.
