The Rappahannock County Library is very pleased to announce that Obie award-winning theatre artist, Julie Portman, and Paul Reisler, director of the music group Trapezoid will present “Our Stories Together,” a concert that uses the music of hammer dulcimer, guitar, synthesizer and percussion to bring a wealth of contemporary and traditional stories to life at the closing program of the Adventures with Paddington Reading Program.
Julie Portman, a dancer, actress, storyteller and musician, combines all of these arts when she tells her stories with Paul Reisler. The result is a unique program that, according to The New York Daily News, “captivates” the audience. “Tales have never been told better,” says The Washington Post.
Julie Portman is the artistic director of Golden Key Performance group, a Washington, Virginia based theatre ensemble that tours nationally.
