is not too great a shortfall, George Borjes, chairman of the chapter’s blood services, points out that the Fauquier community’s population is increasing disproportionate to the number of blood donors, which remains less than 900.
That has meant that the annual goal for blood donations has had to remain at 1,275 units, even though the demand for blood at Fauquier Hospital has been increasing, Mr. Borjes added.
A blood donor- may be anyone in generally good health who is at least 17 years old. The Bloodmobile will not be back at Marshall until next January, so blood donors who live or work in the northern part of the county should offer their blood at this time, says Mr. Borjes.
