After a public hearing in July, during which Mayor Dean Morehouse questioned numerous provisions of the draft ordinance, the planners recommended the document to the Town Council for adoption. At that time Mayor Morehouse predicted that the Council would study and perhaps make further changes before enacting it.
“I think the subcommittee is a good idea,” Councilman Ray Gooch agreed. “We need to spend more time on our ordinances.”
“This is an involved document,” Mr. Reynolds added, “and it requires some knowledge and study.”
