The Flint Hill Home Extension Club met on Tuesday, August 8 at the home of Janet Eastham. Mrs. Russie Miller gave a talk on herbs. Those present were Alice Pullen, "Flo Duvall, Margaret and Elsie Dodson, and Jennifer Matthew's.
Mrs. Linnie Cummings had as her recent guests Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Klise, Mrs. Thelma Gardner, Mrs. Sue Bogman and Miss Ina Leithbreight all of Portsmouth and Miss Catherine McCune of Newville, Pa.
Mr. and Mrs. James Garwood of McLean were Wednesday guests of the latter’s sister, Mrs. Arland Welch at her home “Mountain View.”
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Curtis joined Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lockridge at Leesburg on Sunday where they took their mother, Eleanor Timmons out to dinner to celebrate her 82nd birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Odie Herndon and boys of Manassas, Pete Lillard and Steve Lillard were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bunny Hudson and Kathy.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Patton and Mindy of Stephens City were Wednesday visitors of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard. Mrs. Shirley Wade of Chantilly spent the weekend with her parents here.
Paul Lewis Miller, Jr. of Odenton, Md. spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Paul Miller.
