Accepting the check from Lion Kermit Weakley (right) is Washington’s chief, Roger Roach. The department plans a benefit celebration this Saturday, Aug. 19 in honor of the Town of Washington’s 240th birthday. It will feature food, music and sports, with all proceeds to benefit the fire department.
