Parenting during the spring semester is another new offering that has attracted ten students.

Another split course, Business Law first semester with an Employment Seminar second semester has attracted 12 students, who are chiefly interested in business.

Finally, Physical Education for Juniors and Seniors has appealed to 19 students, mostly boys who also play varsity sports.

The seven-period day has also allowed more students to join the band or chorus. In past years students have had to drop out of those programs because of all the required courses in ninth and tenth grade. In past years about 18 students have taken chorus and 15 to 18 have taken band. This year 34 students are taking chorus, and 35 have signed up for the band.

The new schedule has also brought more flexibility in scheduling teachers. In the past teachers taught five periods and had one period for planning. This year most
