Food drive for needy
The county's Department of Social Services reminds residents that, as we prepare for the coming holiday season, we remember those of our neighbors who are less fortunate. The department is in the middle of its annual food drive, and is accepting donations of canned goods and cash contributions toward food baskets for needy residents of Rappahannock. The department plans to finish the drive on Dec. 18, so residents are urged to get donations to the office on Gay St. in Washington as soon as possible.
