as para-legal
Katherine Joan St. Clair has received certification as a para-legal after completing the course of studies at the Para-Legal Institute of Falls Church.
Coursework included legal reasoning and research, civil litigation, contracts, partnerships, corporations, administrative law, law office management, torts, criminal law, wills and probate, domestic relations and property.
A para-legal or legal assistant performs tasks similar to those of an attorney, with the exception of representing individuals in formal litigation. Mrs. St. Clair is pursuing her interest in property law and plans to help senior citizens in dealing with the problems of this age group.
Mrs. St. Clair and her husband Paul are owners of the Black Kettle Restaurant and reside in Washington, Va.
