But, he s had no regrets about his decision to move.
“There has been nothing but support for me coming here,” Mr. Huff said, adding that before he even made up his mind to re-open the Village Cafe under a new name, Washington residents were patting him on the back and offering encouraging words about his decision.
“I had not even decided, and people were planning that I would,” he said with laughter, adding that since his opening nearly a month ago, he’s had nothing but busy days.
Changing the name and the hours were Mr. Huffs first priorities.
The new Country Cafe is open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., weeknights, and 9 p.m. on weekends. Sunday, he closes early.
The long hours represent Mr. Huffs determination in making the cafe a comfortable and delicious place for county residents to visit.
