county committee consideration. The amount of soil loss before the practice and the amount of soil saved by carrying out the practice will be considered. Funds will be targeted toward practices that save the most soil. No cost share will be paid on any practice that is started before committee approval, the spokesman emphasized.
Soil tests are required for practices involving lime and fertilizer. Tests made within two years are acceptable. Bring samples or soil test results sheet when applying for the cost-share program.
