The recently organized Senior
4-H Club sponsored a coon hunt Wednesday, Dec. 3. Herbert “Humpy” Smoot and son Larry served as coon hunt Masters. Hosts for this event were Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Palmer of Scuffle HilL Despite the snow flurries, the 19 4-H members had a rollicking good time. One coon was treed. A “Hunt Breakfast” of hot dogs and soft drinks followed the chase.
Rosie Keesee, a native of Rappahannock County and graduate of Rappahannock High School, has been honored for completion of ten years of service with the State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., Charlottesville. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brady of Flint Hill.

Two area athletes have won
positions on the 1974-75 varsity basketball team at Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg. Steve Allen of Luray and Harry Jordan of Sperryville are the only freshmen on the 12man squad. They were basketball standouts at Luray High School and Rappahannock County High School, respectively, last year.
A hayride was held Saturday night by the New Direction Bible Study Group. Refreshments were served at the Episcopal parish hall after the ride. Jim Pagan of Florida presented a short talk, and Paula Piccard and Nola Andrews played the guitar and sang for the group.
