On behalf of the Rappahannock County Extension Homemaker Clubs, we would like to thank everyone in the community who supported the American Red Cross Bloodmobile on Nov. 27.

Thirty-one people attended; four were medically deferred, resulting in 27 pints of blood that were collected and given to the American Red Cross.

This “gift of life — blood” is especially needed during the holiday season when many people are traveling and accidents are more likely to occur.

The Extension Homemakers are happy to sponsor the Bloodmobile in Rappahannock County as a community service project, since promoting good health and nutrition is one of our educational objectives.
