Mary Jane Swift, 35, of Huntly, for larceny of more than $200 by false pretenses, uttering a $2,271 check to Radford Service Co. and embezzling more than $200 from Radford Service Co.

Her case was continued until April 4. She was allowed to remain free on a $6,000 personal recognizance bond.

In other Circuit Court activity Monday:

• Smitty Henry Jr., 50, of Front Royal, was sentenced to three years in prison for possession of a sawed-off shotgun, a felony.

Two of the three years were suspended by Judge Robertson, who ordered Mr. Henry to undergo two years of supervised probation upon release.

A misdemeanor charge of brandishing a firearm was dis- -» missed by Mr. Luke under terms of a plea bargain.

• Wade I. Dove, 19, of Amissville, was sentenced to three years, all suspended, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Mr. Dove pleaded guilty on Dec. 20 to taking Andrew Compton’s 1970 Ford Maverick.
