The Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation announces the availability of guidelines and applications for the 1991/92 Visual Arts Residency Program, in support of projects taking . place between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, 1992. Completed proposals are due at Mid Atlantic offices on Friday, July 12. Through the program, approximately $85,000 will be granted in support of visual arts residencies and throughout the region.
The Mid Atlantic Residency Program supports residencies from two weeks to three months by individual artists and professional art critics. The grants provide a pro-rated resident fee of $2,000 per month, cost of one round trip between the resident’s home and the residency site and $300 for documentation.
Any not-for-profit organization in the mid-Atlantic region is eligible to apply for' up to four residencies per year. Applications must be submitted by an organization on behalf of specific artists and critics who are from the region, but outside the host organization’s state.
In 1990, Mid Atlantic made awards to 21 organizations for 29 residencies. Projects will involve 25 artists and four critics.
