For you our aching hearts did bum You gave your lives and bravely fought To right a wrong you all have sought Each day we’d watch the bit of news We knew down deep you could not lose Those who cared enough to go We’re proud and wanted you to know Each Mom and Dad and brother too The wives and children are proud of you Sisters and husbands and all your friends With deep emotion our love it sends We honor our president and generals today From the British to the Saudi’s this tribute we pay We all stood together for right did we band Divided we’d have fallen, but together we stand If the world could take notice and fighting would cease And just live together, the whole world in peace Those who cared enough to go We’re proud and wanted you to know Old Glory stood proud as you fought the fight, to give Kuwait back :k her land t You all make us proud as Americas best, gave your lives As you fought in the sand Her stars and stripes have a meaning reborn And your courage proclaimed from dark till mom We raise our heads and salute you toda/ For a job well done we just wanted to say Those who cared enough to go We’re proud and wanted you to know.
