Mr. Tupper said shortstop Tom Brown and second baseman Justin Ferrance played well on defense, and that Kevin Daymude “hit one that would have been out of our park. He crushed it.” He also played well at catcher, said Mr. Tupper.

The Bull Run District promises to be competitive this year, with Clarke, Brentsville and George Mason projected as preseason favorites.
The Panthers open the season March 22 against Strasburg.
Coach Tupper is in his first year teaching and coaching in Rappahannock. A 1976 graduate of RCHS, Coach Tupper was a member of the varsity baseball team in 1976, the year the Panthers lost the state championship to Stuart’s Draft.
He also pitched for the DeKalb College (Atlanta) baseball team.
