Bryant Lee from Hampton District and Paul Nichols from Wakefield District will be reappointed to new four-year terms on the School Board.

They were the only two people nominated at the Board of Supervisors’ public hearing Monday evening.

However, there will be one new face on the School Board this July, since Piedmont District supervisor Charles K. “Pete” Estes announced that Dorothy Butler has resigned her position as Piedmont District’s representative.

The supervisors will next meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday June 24. At that meeting they will formally adopt the county’s budget for the coming year. They will also appoint Mr. Lee and Mr. Nichols to new terms on the School Board. At that meeting they will also hold a public hearing to take nominations for the Piedmont District seat on the School Board.

Mrs. Butler’s resignation is effective “immediately.” She said she was resigning for “a personal reason”
