A big bear-hug and congratulations go to teacher James Fountain, who retires this year after 26 years in Rappahannock. The wisdom and love he demonstrated as he taught made him a favorite among students and parents alike.
Special thanks also go to Arthur Neufeld, whose tireless fundraising every year guarantees the success of the seventh grade trip to Williamsburg.
To all the teachers and staff of Rappahannock Elementary, we parents owe you a debt of appreciation for working hard to prepare our children for the years ahead. Those of us who previously have lived outside Rappahannock in the larger school systems can vouch for how well our county fares by comparison.
The state-of-art computer lab here and the use of electronic media throughout the school system are two demonstrations of Dr. Gangel’s commitment to make Rappahannock the number one educational system in the state.
In addition to the technological advances available to our students, Rappahannock also provides the benefits of a good education, strong in the basics, with a healthy dose of down-home warm fuzzies.
