Rappahannock Historical Sp^ ciety will meet Monday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the courthouse at Washington. Following the business meeting there will be a joint work session with the July 4th Bicentennial Committee.

The Rappahannock school
board voted unanimously at a special meeting Monday night to hire Gerald Stanley Lysik as assistant superintendent for the county’s public schools. Currently director of middle schools for the Syracuse, New York, city system, Dr. Lysik, $9 years old, is married and the father of four children. Lysik’s starting salary was set at $27,000.
