It’s a story concerning our planet — its destruction and possibly its reconstruction.
“Standing on Fishes,” a new play by social and political playwright Martha Boesing of Minnesota, is on stage at 8 p.m. June 21 and 22 at Rappahannock High in the gymnasium.
„ Sponsored by Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC), The Council of All Beings Environmental Action Theatre Project is a 13-member cast performing their acclaimed educational and social motivating productions. Their visit to the county is part of their East Coast tour.
Tickets for the production are $8 for adults and $5 for children at the door. Reservations are available by calling the RAAC office at 675-3193 or at Mountainside Market in Washington, Royal Oak Bookstore in Front Royal, The New Leaf Bookstore in Warrenton, The Natural Marketplace in Warrenton, The Culpeper Music Center in Culpeper or the Faith Mountain Company in Sperry ville.
The production involves a cast of spirits, masked and metaphorically representing animals, moving through an evolutionary process to help a youth, the main character, to live in harmony and find inspiration in living with the Earth and all its beings.
