Ki Theatre holds

benefit event

at Harts' home

Ki Theatre will hold its 1991 fundraising event at “Chesley,” the stately home of the internationally recognized sculptor Frederick Hart and his wife Lindy, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 22.

The evening will consist of a buffet dinner, followed by a performance by the Ki Theatre duo Julie Portman and Paul Reisler in “Katie Malone.”

Ms. Portman is an Obie award-winning theater artist, and founder and artistic director of Ki Theatre.

Paul Reisler, a composer, musician and songwriter, is founder and director of the music group Trapezoid, and a member of Ki Theatre.

“Katie Malone” is a true story based on the life and marriage of Ms. Portman’s mother.

The piece will be performed in the sculptor’s studio, where Mr. Hart is currently working on a series of gallery-size lucite figures using a unique process that he has pioneered.
