Mrs. Darr was bom Dec. 8,1935, in Amissville, the daughter of the late Carlton T. and Arbelia Rowzie Kines. She was a member of the Marlow Heights Baptist Church in Front Royal and a lifetime member of the Warren Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, Aubrey W. Darr; three daughters, Deborah Smeltzer, Crystal Darr and Jacquelyn Lacen, all of Front Royal; a brother, C.T. Kines II of Stephenson; and three grandchildren.

Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.

Pearlie Ryder

Pearlie Hazel Ryder, 80, of Midland, died Thursday, May 30 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

He was bom in Rappahannock County Sept. 23, 1910, to the late John Thomas and Lizzie Weaver Kemper.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband was the late James Warren Ryder.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas Ryder and William Ryder, both of Midland and Wesley Ryder of Catlett; two daughters, Elizabeth Kerns of Midland and Ethel Kennedy of Gainesville; 16 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 2 at Moser Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Vance and the Rev. Arthur DeCourcey officiating. Interment was in Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery in Amissville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert Graves Jr.

Robert Strickler Graves Jr. of Syria, died Monday, May 27 at his residence.

Mr. Graves was bom Sept. 19, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Robert S. Graves and Annabel Dye Graves.
