Porro. Susan Bender, well known in concert circles, plays Mabel, the young heroine. Others in the cast include Scott Morgan, Dori Legg, Catherine HuntressReeve and Wade Hancock.
Catherine Flye, the founder and artistic director of Interact, directs the performance. The music director is Larry Vote, choreography is by Linda Garner Miller and set and costume design by Tessa Dunning.
The “pirates” will be staying overnight in Rappahannock County following the performance on Aug. 3. Families wishing to host a cast member are invited to call the theater at 675-1253.
Tickets to the Aug. 3 performance are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and $5 for children. Advance reservations are recommended. Checks should be made payable to The Theatre at Washington and mailed to: Box 322, Washington, Va. 22747.
Tickets may also be purchased at the box office on the day of the performance.
The newly-redecorated and air-conditioned theater is located at the comer of Gay and Jett streets in the Town of Washington.
