To the Editor:
The traffic on U.S. 211 was rerouted this year to the westbound lane during the Amissville carnival parade. This enhanced viewing and insured the safety of participants, and should have been done long ago.
The highway personnel responsible for engineering and orchestrating the project should be thanked as well as complimented. Appreciation also goes to law enforcement officers who assisted.
In appreciation of area residents who have donated food and area businesses that have contributed prizes for fire company activities, I would like to express my thanks.
I have previously done much of the “beginning” and rarely have I been refused or have folk failed to respond. Thanks again.
