Rappahannock Elementary Principal David Smith spoke to the group about efforts being made in the elementary school to help students with problems with reading and math.
There are four labs at the elementary school funded through the federal governments Chapter 1 program. He said that these labs work with students who are below the 40th percentile on standardized tests.
Mr. Smith said the goal of these programs is to get the students back in the regular classrooms.
