Mr. Wood has also been endorsed by the Virginia Education Assocation, the state teachers’ union, which has said it intends to contribute money to his campaign.
Also this week, Mr. Darby attacked a survey conducted by the Wood campaign by the D.C. firm David Petts Associates, saying it distorts his positions by the way it phrases questions.
Albert Pollard, Mr. Wood’s fulltime campaign worker, said the survey was intended for internal use by the campaign and the results would not be made public.
“I don’t know why Mr. Darby is objecting. We didn’t ask any personality questions or anything in relation to negative campaigning. ”
