It is felt that when the consumer is directly responsible for the costs of their care, both prudence and competition play a role in keeping health care costs under control. Other advantages: no bureaucratic ' interference and overhead, no worry about job changes, and no worry over the employer’s ability to afford insurance.
Those who are too poor to purchase at least a basic package of medical care, including catastrophic insurance, would be provided access to the public-sector health programs that are already in existence.
Mr. Darby has real solutions to health care and other problems that concern Virginians. He has been successful to date in every endeavor. I think we should allow him to carry his success to Richmond. Let his success be our success.
