We regret the passing of Mrs. Ertha Hawkins, an old Boston native who was making her home near her son-in-law and daughter Rev. and Mrs. Cecil Carder in King of Prussia, Pa. Mrs. Hawkins passed away on Saturday and we extend to the family our deep sympathy.
Birthday wishes go out to Mrs. Janet Peregory on her day, Sept. 24 and her little son Joseph who celebrated his today, Sept. 26.

Mrs. Edith Green and friends spent last week at Nags Head, N.C. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harris and Mrs. Birdie Green of Cincinatti, Ohio were recent guests of Mrs. Green, Mrs. Birdie Green remained for a longer visit.

Mrs. David Allan Thornhill hosted a bridal shower for Ms. Melanie Thornhill on Saturday attemoon at her home with about forty in attendance.
Mrs. Vickie Miller of Roanoke, Mrs. John Anderson of Sterling and Mrs. Harry Morrison of Winchester were all here to visit Mrs. Cary Thornhill on Saturday and they all attended the Thornhill shower. Mrs. Thornhill was an overnight guest
