The Rappahannock County Garden Club held its monthly meeting at the Washington fire hall on Sept. 18.

Refreshments were served by the hostesses Dot Estes, Barbara Colvin and Margie White.

The program was presented by Helen Holschuh. The club was entertained with a slide program of Christmas decorations in Williamsburg. Included was a slide of a perfect replica of the first Christmas tree, a cedar, displayed in Williamsburg in 1842. Other slides were of decorations arranged on doors, mantels and tables.
