Sue McCloud, 34, of Sperryville, was injured in a single-car accident on U.S. 211, four-tenths of a mile west of Route 627, at 12:15 p.m. Sept. 27, according to Sgt. G.A. Morris of the State Police.
Ms. McCloud was operating a 1978 Olds westbound when she ran off the right side, lost control and went back across the road, where she hit an embankment and the car overturned, coming to rest upside-down, said Sgt. Morris.
Trooper S.M. Knick charged her with reckless driving.
The car was destroyed and Ms. McCloud was injured.

• Both drivers were charged in a hillcrest collision on Route 729, one-tenth of a mile north of U.S. 522, at 7:39 p.m. Sept. 27, according to Sgt. Morris.
Paul Bielich, 30, of Front Royal, was operating a 1986 Dodge pickup and Robert Settle, 18, of Amissville, was operating a 1987 Ponitac when they came to the top of a hill from opposite directions and hit each other, said Sgt. Morris.
Mr. Bielich was charged by Trooper C.A. Moore with driving under the influence. Mr. Settle was charged with failure to drive to the right of the road.
