RAAC movie: 'Journey of Hope'
Sunday night's RAAC movie is "Journey of Hope," winner of the 1990 Academy Award for best foreign-language film.
The film chronicles the heartbreaking struggles of a Kurdish family that leaves their farm in Turkey in search of a better life. Director Xavier Koller creates a powerful bond between the audience and the family—the powerful, strong, emotional and beautifully crafted film reminds viewers that the promise of paradise has no borders.
Screen time is 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6.110 minutes.

Performing at the Woodsmoke Cafe in Sperryville Friday at 8:30 p.m. is Rob Devening, who plays a mix of pop and folk songs.
The Woodsmoke Cafe also begins Saturday night music this week, with folkcountry performer Frank Stockton. Watch for announcements of upcoming acts.

Shakespeare at Warren Co. H.S.
