Parenting workshop
The Child Care and Learning Center will hold its second parenting workshop at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Center. The topic for the evening will be teaching cooperation skills with Nol Putnam as guest speaker. The meeting is free and open to the public. “Cooperation is the secret to harmonious family life, so come out and learn some new skills,” said a spokesperson. Berry/Clark reunion
- The late Berry/Clark family reunion will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. Family and friends are invited. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
Squad selling food
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks at the rescue squad building from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5 and 6. Proceeds will benefit the squad.
Haunted house at Flint Hill
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 2nd annual haunted house from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31 at the fire hall. Treats and refreshments will be served. There is no admission charge. Parental discretion is advised for young children.
