The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Welch of Front Royal and the late Charles Edward Bowling Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Elwood Jr. of Sperryville.
Dr. Thomas C. Rhyne performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Beverly Clark was the organist with Mr. Bill Criswell and Mrs. Sally Millar accompanying on the violin and flute.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a cream satin gown of silk Venise Lace and seeded pearls with a portrait neckline.
Maid of honor was Kim Johnson of Richmond and Tracy Ottinger also of Richmond served as bridesmaid. They both wore a waltz-length black taffeta gowns.
Best man was Guy E. Foster Jr., father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Ken Estes of Sperryville and Michael Leake of
Ushers were George Edward Williams, Tom Guidice and John Vest, all brother-in-laws of the bride.
