I just went to the refer and got some cream cheese, then to the shelf for the saltines and it occurred to me what the doctor said just last week.
He had said it many times before. You must lose weight, stay away from fats. He said when'you have a craving reach for a carrot. Haw! That may work for him but my stomach did not say, “I want a carrot,” it said, “I want some cheese and crackers.” I know that is what my stomach said. I was there!
The doctor handed me a book. The title: “Lose Weight the Happy Way.” Come on; I was not born yesterday. Those two things do not go together. Diet, and happy! I told him the story about what the farmer said when the fast talking salesman showed him the book on scientific farming, said it would increase his production and reduce his costs. The farmer said, “Young fella, I aint farmin as well as I know how now.” Same here, the last thing I need is a new diet or a new book. I know how now.
I said “doctor, I know how to lose weight. You quit eating and start hurting. There is no other way.” If you have a doctor that thinks salads are satisfying, has never tasted cheese cake or a chocolate mousse,
