The Mellos produce shiitake mushrooms, honey and Christmas trees. They market thourgh the Warrenton farmers’ market, selling preserves and baked goods as well as farm produce. They have developed loyal customers for their Christmas trees and found that they could market logs treated to grow the shitake mushrooms as “novelty gifts” at Christmas time.
