studying with the Tulsa Ballet Theater and earned a dance degree in ballet from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Then she came east to Washington, D.C., and continued her dance schooling at American University.
Well known tp Washington audiences for more than 10 years, she has produced numerous solo works and worked with her company, Full Circle. She uses dance, theater and panoramic imagery to tell personal stories that highlight cultural issues and global concerns.
When not performing all over the country she finds time to work as a guest teacher at Mary Washington College and as a guest choreographer at James Madison University.
She. has received several Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and support from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the D.C. Commission for the Arts, and the Eugene and Agnes Meyer Foundation.
In the upcoming show in D.C., she offers dance fans four different perspectives on the human condition.
The Last Minute Wood Company will be staging “Please Don't Kill the Messenger.” Led by Sally Nash, the company includes Kim Doyle, Shari Avenius, Nan Reddick and Cathy Kiley.
