Bake sale at CCLC
The Child Care and Learning Center will hold an Easter bake sale from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on April 7 and 8. Proceeds will benefit the field trip fund. Donations are welcome.
Band needs pianos
The R.C.H.S. Bank is hosting a “Solo and Ensemble Featival” on Saturday, April 17. Hundreds of student musicians from nearby counties will be judged on their instrumental performances. Most of the solos will require piano accompaniment. The school system has three pianos, but an additional two are needed for the event. If the band could borrow your piano, please contact Ms. Whitford at 987-8575.
Dance at AVFD
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, April 17 with the band Royal Tones. For reservations call Sheila Scott at 937-4357.
Easter egg hunt
The Easter bunny will be in attendance at Washington Volunteer Fire Department at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1® far a frae children's Easter egg hunt. The age groups witt be under four yean, four to eight years and nine to 12 years. There will be prizes, food and fun, so bring your camera.
Carnival scheduled
The Flint Hill Vounteer fireman’s carnival will be held July 28-31 this year. The parade will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday the 29th Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars since this is a date change from previous years.
Support group to meet
The Blue Ridge Head Injury support group will meet and have a social from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 17 in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church on the comer of Gay and Middle Streets in Washington. For information or transportation call Pat Salmon at 675-3137 af ter 6:30 p.m.
