The Fishers have served as parents for a host of foreign exchange students over the years and that is where she got the idea to try a different kind of business. “The exchange students wanted to experience the American prom — but were on such a limited budget. It was very difficult for them to justify spending that much money for a dress they would never use again,” she added.
“I know almost nothing about business,” she said. “It has been a learning experience on a tiny level.
“The IRS is a pen pal,” she quipped.
“It is really more a service to the community than anything else, but it is fun and I am learning new things,” she said.
