David Andrew Burke son of Beverly Burke has been nominated by Miss Kelly Brown, teacher at Rappahannock Elementary School to receive recognition as a Superintendent’s Super Star.
This honor was based on student application and effort not solely on grades. David was honored on Monday, April 5 at 11 a. m. at a luncheon within the school with David M. Gangel, the Superintendent of the Rappahannock County Public Schools.
David is in the second grade and Miss Brown is his teacher.
David also celebrated his eighth birthday on Sunday, April 4.
Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Annie Hawkins were Mrs. Judy Deal, Jamie and Johnathan of Hume and Roger Hawkins of Amissville.
Junior Girl Scout Troop 547 of the Virginia Skyline Girl Scout Council hosted a Mexican Fiesta on Monday, March 29 at the Washington Baptist Church. Guests were Brownies from Troop 2021 and their leaders Ginger Estes and Kathy Smoot, Kathryn Batis from Brownie Troop 909 also attended.
