Beautification

To the Editor:
On behalf of the residents of "Beautiful Downtown Amissville,” I would like to thank VDOT. and Bill Watson in particular, for making our village even more beautiful.
Mr. Watson, of VDOT’s landscaping department, was kind enough to visit with me and discuss the possibility of planting bulbs in the median near the intersection of U.S. 211 and Route 642, the “heart" ot Amissville. The bulbs have been planted and we are anxiously awaiting the first blooms.
1 found Mr. Watson to be very helpful in assisting with this project^ and anxious to give advice on additional landscaping.
With so much unpleasantness in the world today, those blooming "splashes of color” along our roadways seem to make everyone feel better.
