Join with millions across the nation as they have special prayer for our country and its leaders. I believe it is a time we should also consider our rich, Godly heritage; what did our Founding Fathers really envision for this great nation? What are the principles upon which it was founded?
Around the village, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Lucille Walker who died on April 26. Wayne Dodson remains in Fauquier Hospital. We’re praying for his speedy recovery.

Flower arranging
at Library Friday
Spring is finally here! Yards and gardens are full of flowers just begging to be cut and arranged to decorate your house. Learn the newest techniques and oldest secrets of flower arranging at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 7 at the Rappahannock County Library. That evening the Library’s First Friday Series will present “Flower Arranging: Back to Basics” with members of the Rappahannock County Garden Club.
Garden Club member Christine Johnston will begin the evening with a general discussion of types of arrangements and suitable flowers and containers. Then several other members, including Celine Siira, Helen Smith, Edna Metzinger, Helen Brown and Jane Peterson will actually demonstrate different kinds of arrangements, how to condition flowers, and display the various types of containers that can be used.
It should be an educational and enjoyable evening for all. The program will be in the Library’s meeting room, with refreshments to follow. Admission is free.
