Walter Williams Walter Henry Williams, 81, of Strasburg, died Monday, May 2 at Winchester Medical Center. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at the Maddox Funeral home in Front Royal by the Rev. Mark Karey. Burial will be in Willis Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born Feb. 14, 1912, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Henry and Rob Williams Williams. He was a retired groundskeeper for the Front Royal Country Club and has been employed by the Humane Society of Warren County. He was a member of the Community House in Woodstock. Surviving are five cousins. Pallbear will be Jay Burnett, Bernard Williams and Fred Walk.
Dr. C.F. Melton Dr. C. Franklin Melton, a retired clergyman, died on Saturday, May 1 at the Orange County Nursing Home in Orange, Va. He was bom in Stanley County, North Carolina, on May 3, 1919, and was preceded in death by his wife, Leola Caudle*Melton. He is survived by two daughters, Aney Melton Massie of Washingtonand Laura Melton Fisher of Madison; four grandchildren; a sister.
