Both schools in Rappahannock
County were burglarized Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. The vandalism was discovered as school personnel arrived to begin the day’s work.
An estimated $30 may have been garnered by the vandals from all sources including $3 which Edward Gray, science instructor, had in his desk drawer.
Vandalism consisted of the prying open of doors where locks were destroyed and will have to be replaced and a door glass knocked out to gain entry to the building.
At the local elmentary school the story was much the same.
