Dr. Melton served as pastor of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church and F.T. Baptist Church in Rappahannock County during the early 1960’s.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 4 at Goochland Baptist Church Cemetery at ManakinSabot, Va. with the Reverend Allen Roberts officiating.

Mr. James William Vaughn Jr., 73, of Sperryville died Tuesday, May 4 at his residence.
He was born March 9, 1920 in West Virginia son of the late James W. and Dolly Stafford Vaughn.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by a close friend Cecelia Pike of Sperryville.
Private funeral services will be held.
