Get Grants
Rappahannock County schools and the Ki Theater have been awarded grants by the Virginia Commission for The Arts for 1993-94 said Delegate Jerry M. Wood.
The schools will receive $4,778 for a multi-discipline artist residency in dance, music and the visual arts, and the Ki Theater will receive $2,700 for general operating support.
“These grants provide operating support for nonprofit arts organizations, support artist residencies in funding programs for the arts,” said Wood.
“Requests for Commission funding are reviewed on the basis of artistic quality, effective management, and service along with other members of the General Assembly, the arts in Virginia continue to thrive, despite the current economic climate. It is a very important part of our quality of life.”
