The woman eventually drove around Lambert’s vehicle and went to a nearby house to call for help. Lambert was arrested later.
At the trial the jury recommended a sentence of 12 months on both the abduction and assault charges, and six months on the tampering charge. Lambert was found not guilty of additional charges of attempted robbery and using a mask. The maximum sentence for abduction, a felony, is ten years and a $2,500 fine. The other offenses are misdemeanors with one-year and $2,500 fine maximum sentences each.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 5 pending a presentence investigation. Lambert remains incarcerated in the county jail.
