Amissville Firemen’s carnival is June 23-26. Thursday, June 24, is the big day for the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Resuce’s big parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you’ve not call in yoiir entry, call J.B. Carter at 937-4218.
As is customary, boxed suppers will be available on parade night. The community’s help is greatly appreciated in providing fried chicken, potato salad, delived eggs, and cakes. If you can help, please call Sarah at 937-4410 or Sandy at 9374218. They will accept cooked or uncooked chicken that they can prepare.
Special rides discount Wednesday night at the carnival; parade Thursday, crowning of the queen and her court Friday evening, and grand prize drawing Saturday evening.
If you have a local T-dhirt (Rappahannock County, Firemen’s 40th Anniversary, or the Amissville 22002 shirt) you are encouraged to wear them during the carnival, especially parade night. These shirts support our local RAA and the Amissville Fire Department. They are available at Hackley’s Store here in the village.
A farewell covered dish luncheon will be held this Sunday, June 27 for Pastor Peter Weems following the morning worship service at United Methodist.
Culpeper Women’s AGLOW Fellowship meets at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 26 at St. Stephen’s Epsicoal Chruch. Guest speaker is Timmie Edwards from Jerusalem,
