Middle Street Gallery of Washington is focusing attention on the Rappahannock River for its July exhibition. The non-profit artist-run gallery is contributing to the dialogue about the possibility of “Tier III” adoption for the river through a show of new paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures.
“Teir III” proclaims a river to be “exceptional waters” and prevent dumping into the river. A program is also planned for the evening of July 17 at The Theater in Washington to honor the Rappahannock River and discuss its future.
